Where this started.
Before Sonje, I was building software across industries — healthcare dashboards, e-commerce platforms, SaaS tooling. Good work, but generic. The kind of work where you never really learn the client's business because next month you're in a different one.
That changed when I started working with a mortgage brokerage. For the first time, I had to understand compliance frameworks, loan origination workflows, NMLS licensing, and why a 30-second response time on a lead was the difference between closing and losing. The depth of the domain made the software harder — and better.
I started Sonje to stay in that depth. One industry. Every project makes the next one sharper — because the patterns compound when you stop context-switching between verticals every quarter.
